MedAssist® is a comprehensive practice management package for medical clinics, including multi-provider clinics. With an emphasis on productivity enhancements, cash flow improvement, real-time processing and 100% utilization of all available resources, MedAssist has become a preferred choice of both first time buyers and conversion customers. Originally designed for older PC’s, MedAssist features runs extremely fast on today's modern Windows 7 systems and features a keyboard only interface for even faster data entry.
While we no longer actively market MedAssist, we continue to support it for a large customer base of users. We will continue to provide support, including forms and superbill customization, electronic claims interface support, ongoing training, and troubleshooting via high-speed Internet connection.
It is our forecast that the change in diagnosis medical coding slated to go into effect in October, 2014, will make MedAssist obsolete for many larger practices and billing services. The ICD-10 coding scheme will expand the number of codes beyond what MedAssist can effectively handle. Also, all the new ICD-10 codes will have a distinct alphanumeric sequencing that is not compatible with MedAssist's numeric sequencing originally designed for ICD-9 codes. Minor reworking for smaller practices and billing services who use fewer than 100 diagnosis codes to continue use of MedAssist may be feasible.
We will help you define the impact of ICD-10 and a transition from MedAssist if necessary as part of our support services. We can provide a conversion to CareTracker in which your patient demographics and reference files are preserved in the new system. If you choose to continue with MedAssist and desire support, you may sign up for a monthly fixed price of $80 per month that includes voice phone support, email, and on-line Internet connection to your computer via PCAnywhere or any other remote connection option of your choice.
